THE PIGEONS, terrified by the appearance of a Kite, called upon the Hawk to defend them. He at once consented. When they had admitted him into the cote, they found that he made more havoc and slew a larger number of them in one day than the Kite could pounce upon in a whole year.
Pooka: Magic and Mischief is a cutesy game starring magical, shape-shifting creatures, and will be coming to mobile in a couple of weeks.

Crescent Moon Games is releasing the pixel-art Metroidvania game Micetopia for iOS and Android devices later this week.

As can be inferred from the title, it’s a game about playing as a mouse warrior who must battle their way through the eponymous world of Micetopia to save its inhabitants that have been taken by an evil force. You have to fight back against the dark minions that threaten you as you try to save your fellow mice.
Micetopia will be out on mobile this coming WEDESDAY!!?????Grab it for is 25% off while it's still available for pre-order!????????https://t.co/15EIslVpSj#ScreenshotSaturday pic.twitter.com/qRWOcVFUy1— Crescent Moon Games ???? (@CM_Games) January 23, 2021As a Metroidvania, Micetopia is all about unlocking new abilities and opening up more of a huge map as you continue your adventure. There’s a good blend of platforming and combat to make up the most of this gameplay as you defeat enemies and dodge their attacks. Check out some gameplay in the tweet we’ve included below, in which you can see the mouse battling a Crystal Golem.
Super excited to be publishing 'Micetopia'by @whited43 ????A charming action adventure coming soon to mobile!??????????#gamedev #indiegame #pixelart #indiedev pic.twitter.com/OP8XqkXlGw— Crescent Moon Games ???? (@CM_Games) December 23, 2020Micetopia had previously released on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch last November, when it was developed by Ninja Rabbit Studio and published by Ratalaika Games, however Crescent Moon Games is taking full responsibility of the mobile port.

That art style in particular looks very appetising to me, and so if you're interested you can check out Micetopia on the iOS App Store and Google Play for Android store on Wednesday, 27th January. It’s a premium title which’ll cost $4.99, and is also available on the Nintendo Switch eShop.
Read more about our favourite platformers on iOS in this handy guide.Comix Breaker
With Games of Thrones back in full swing it was only a matter of time before the next GoT-themed mobile game came about. This time Warner Bros. has you covered as Game of Thrones: Conquest soft launches on iOS.

In GoT: Conquest you take up arms as the head of your new House and need to train up, collect resources, forge powerful alliances, and conquer your enemies on the path to the Iron Throne. Of course, this is the Seven Kingdoms, so watch your back every step of the way lest you find a knife pointed at it.

Part combat strategy, part base builder, you can't just butcher your way through iconic towns and cities. No, unless you've got a cellar stuffed with Wildfire you've got to think things through tactically, and that includes building up your own House.

So, if you're in the Philippines, Turkey, Denmark, or Indonesia feel free to check it out on the App Store free to play. If you're not but you'd like to give it a go, you can use our guide on creating a foreign iTunes account to get you started.

Be aware that it's not particularly polished as of yet and a fair few gamers have complained about the loading time/performance.

Source: Sensor Tower.

Bullet Hell Monday Finale is an upcoming bullet hell shooter game from Masayuki Ito and is based on his previous game Bullet Hell Monday Black. It's set to head for both iOS and Android on April 13th where it will be a free-to-play game.

Bullet Hell Monday Finale aims to simplify the game systems of 'Black' and plays out in a chapter to chapter fashion like another of Ito's games, Bullet Hell Monday. As with all bullet hell shooters, the aim will simple. Avoid the hail of bullets coming your way whilst blasting down enemies.

The game is intended to be beginner-friendly, offering a gradually increasing difficulty curve that shouldn't be too off-putting to those who've not dabbled in the genre much. Each mission will have different tasks to complete such as beating 30 enemies and once you've beaten that task you'll face off against a boss who blocks your way to the next chapter.

There will be different upgrades available for your craft that increase attributes such as shot power, shot speed and bomb duration. Your weapons and movement will be controlled with a mixture of swipe gestures whilst you'll be able to hurl a bomb at your enemies by tapping with your other hand.

And be not of my holy vows afraid.

A nuclear explosion is one of the most terrifying threats of the modern world, and if you watched HBO series Chernobyl you know exactly how devastating it can be for humankind. But what if someone exposed to such a horrifying blast could be brought back to life? That’s exactly what happened in the new teaser trailer for Disorder, that’s been unveiled by NetEase Games.

Disorder is a tale of warring factions vying for control over money and weapons of mass destruction. It’s the latest shooter IP from tech-giant Netease, and at first glance it ticks all the right boxes.

Sony has announced that Alfa System's JRPG Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines will be out for PS Vita in March.

Europe will get it on March 4th while the US can pick it up the day before on March 3rd.

Oreshika has you trying to break the curse of a clan in ancient Japan that means they rapidly age. Most of them live no longer than two years.

In-game, this means that you're always fighting against the clock as you explore labyrinths, fight demons and loot treasure.

The clan is also cursed with the inability to procreate. However, they can call upon the gods with the Rite of Divine Union to create offspring.

But you have to choose which two gods out of the 100 or so available to use in this process as their different attributes will be passed down to the child.

Two of these gods, Kiri no Mashu and Tonkararin, will only be available to those who purchase Oreshika in the first two weeks of the game's launch.

The last thing to note about the game is that it has a beautiful art style based on traditional brush paintings of the Heian era.

Plus, it retains the voice acting from the original Japanese version of the game released last year.

As we saw yesterday, WWDC 2018 had a big emphasis on improving Apple's AR technology. To surprise us all LEGO's Director of Innovation, Martin Sanders, took to the stage to talk us through their upcoming project.

With the announcement of ARKit 2, the new LEGO AR app incorporates the features boasted in yesterday's Keynote, including 3D object detection and shared experience. Sanders started off by checking out a physical LEGO set with an iPad. The set quickly burst to life in AR and became something you could interact with digitally.

When in use with the app, the LEGO structure suddenly comes to life as characters and buildings burst into frame. LEGO-folks can be interacted with, special characters can be added, and you can be joined by up to four friends for simultaneous play.

One of its cooler features is that you can open up buildings, peeking inside at what its residents are getting up to. In the case of the demo, a baker accidentally set his shop on fire so it was all very exciting. Firetrucks, helicopters, you name it.

Once you're done you can save your progress and pick up right where you left off the next time you play.

Alongside the release of A Fold Apart and Beyond Blue, there have been updates to four other Apple Arcade games today. Those games include Dear Reader, Super Mega Mini Party, Frogger in Toy Town and HyperBrawl Tournament. Some of these updates bring a few quality of life changes whilst others have received new levels, modes and characters.
Dear Reader
Dear Reader has updated its library with 12 books filled with more world scrambling puzzles for players to solve. The latest additions include Walden by Henry David Thoreau, Aesop’s Fables, and A Connecticut Yankee in King Arthurs Court by Mark Twain among others.

Elsewhere, the developers have also incorporated a Dark Mode for those late-night reading/puzzle-solving sessions. They've also added holiday shelves, which will appear during timely events to help players find appropriate books for the time of year.
Super Mega Mini Party
Red Games Co's Super Mega Mini Party's latest update gives players a new overworld to wander around. Here they'll be able to interact and challenge other players in several new game modes. Some of these new mini-games include The Raft, Space Base Defender, Cooties and Skater Die. More information about what they involve can be found on the game's App Store page.
