1、"I know we are going to be friends," said Anne, with the smile that only they of the household of faith ever saw.Captain Jim's small nephew Joe had come down to spend New Year's with his great-uncle, and had fallen asleep on the sofa with the First Mate curled up in a huge golden ball at his feet.
2、
It looks like pre-orders for the SNES Classic Edition are going to go live in North America this month. Nintendo has confirmed in a Facebook post that you should be able to ask nicely for one of the mini consoles at some point in August.

Apparently retailers will also have some stock on launch day as well, and that stock will be refreshed throughout the year.

Although I'll believe that when I see it. Which I probably won't, because I don't go in shops. Especially not in countries I don't live in.

If you don't know what the SNES Classic Edition is, it's a SNES. But small. And it comes packed with a whole bunch of games, including the never-before-commercially released Starfox 2.

Pre-orders in the UK sold out in about four seconds, so if you want to grab one in the US, you're going to have to be pretty sharp with your pre-order game.

We'll bring you more info as and when we get it.
dota2-utilities.com
3、"I had a letter from George Moore yesterday," said Leslie, from the corner where she was reading.
It feels like ages since we last mentioned Torchlight Mobile - so much so that we weren't even sure if it was still happening.

Well, thankfully we can confirm that it is. And it was spotted in a healthy situation at Tokyo Game Show 2016.

It looks pretty much as you'd expect from a mobile version of Diablo's colourful and comedic cousin, with hordes of enemies to battle, gold and equipment galore to collect, and boss monsters so big they fill up the screen.

You don't just have to take our word for it - you can check out the hands on kindly provided by 2p.com below.

We're still not sure of when exactly Torchlight Mobile is set to launch, but we'll do some digging and let you know.

4、
After getting itself a Bronze Award on iOS, the brutal roguelike platformer Tallowmere is not out on Android.

It's all about trying to get as far through Lady Tallowmere's "lovingly violent" dungeons as you can.

These dungeons are procedurally generated too, so when you replay, the enemies, bosses, and treasure chests shuffle around.

What let Tallowmere down in our reviewer's opinion is its "clumsy controls." But they're part of the game's tricky design.

- NO GUNS
-
URocks! has released Smashing Zoo on Android and iOS devices.

It is described as a “smash ball” game in which you fire balls from a large gun at different targets. These targets take the form of voxel-style objects made from hundreds of bricks, with the main goal being to demolish the entire target before you can complete a level.

Fire a smash ball at the target and watch as you slowly chip away at it, reducing it down over time to an indecipherable object tainted by destruction. The more bricks you managed to break off at once, the more points you’ll score too to climb high up the leaderboards. There’s also limited ammunition for when you’re playing, so it’s handy to practice your shots and make every one count.

-
Well, it looks like there's a new version of Carcassonne on the way. A tweet on Asmodee Digital's feed has revealed that the company is looking for beta testers for the game on Steam and Android.

Unfortunately iOS users are going to be out of luck with this one, as Asmodee doesn't own the rights to the game on the App Store. Still, a new version of Carcassonne is definitely worth writing something about.

If you follow this link right here you'll be able to sign up to test the new game. You might not get chosen, but on the flip side of that, you might.

For those that don't know Carcassonne, it's a classic in board game circles. It's all about placing tiles and followers and trying to win more points than your opponents.
Board Game Geek
-
Guard Crush Games (Streets of Fury) and Lizardcube (Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap) unveiled Streets of Rage 4 today in a stylish animated trailer, promising the return of the well-loved SEGA series that originally debuted in 1991.

- THE TRUTH MAKES FREE

Back in March, Halfbrick Studios released a new racing game for iOS and Android called Battle Racing Stars. You can see him in action, merrily throwing pineapples, in the embedded trailer below.
Tales of the Neon Sea review - "Stunning but literally puzzling"
If you're unfamiliar with Battle Racing Stars, it is a side-scrolling racer where you'll look to outrun your opponents to reach the finish line first making use of their unique abilities along the way. There are multiple game modes to select from including the very straightforward Quick Play which pits you against three other players.
