Octopath Traveler was a surprise Switch hit, bringing a unique take on JRPG turn-based battles alongside a gorgeous art style and an interesting approach to narrative.

And Square Enix is keen on turning it into a franchise of sorts, having recently announced a new mobile prequel called Octopath Traveler: Champions of the Continent which is coming to Japan sometime this year, according to Gematsu.

It looks a lot like the original Octopath Traveler, which sparks hope that the game will be a proper, full-fledged RPG, but with controls changed to fit the smaller screen. Peep the announcement trailer below.

There had previously been some concerns that levels in the game were too easy.

The update also adds new soundtrack, 8 different languages, and better optimisation for older devices.

We gave it a respectable 6/10 in our review, suggesting it has some nice ideas and looks good, but the concepts aren't as well implemented as other games.

You can grab Ghosts of Memories for $2.99 on both iOS and Android.
"Not I. Updated 26th October, 13:49 PM: Right on schedule the musical masterpiece, Epic Orchestra, is available for download on iPad and iPhone.
Originally released earlier in the year on Apple TV, its arrival on the touchscreen scene is more than welcome. Acting with more of a 'try before you buy' principle, the free portion of the game consists of five levels to wet your whistle, and then offers the final ten as an optional IAP.

Dominate the (digital) music scene and give it your all by downloading the game free-to-play on the App Store.

This Wednesday 26th October will be an eagerly awaited day by some as the music game with a retro feel, Epic Orchestra, heads to iPad and iPhone.

For those who need a little booster on the game, you play as a Maestro conducting your very own (and hopefully epic) orchestra. This swipe-based rhythm game is something with easy controls that're difficult to master as you swipe your way through each score, replicating such marvellous artists as Beethoven, Mozart, and so on.

With 27 Game Centre achievements, a competitive leader board, five free levels and ten which can be bought with an IAP, a fantastical classical score, variable difficulties, and much more, this will certainly be a game worth a good look.

Epic Orchestra is actually out currently on Apple TV, but had yet to be released fully on iPad and iPhone. It'll be free-to-play with the option of a £1.49/$1.99 IAP to unlock the full experience.
